Hi Friends, Happy Monday! **long post alert**
How was your weekend? Mine was busy and fun filled. On Saturday, we had the honor of providing small chops at princess Z’s first birthday party. Thank you for choosing us Dr. E. It was a beautiful party.
We provided chapman, chinchin, puffpuff, chicken skewers, and meat pies for the party.
We also provided custom decorated cookies and cupcakes courtesy Havilah Favors.
Now to today’s deliciousness… I am so thankful for many things in my life one of which is good health, the grace to eat what I enjoy, to live out my passion here on oyacomechop.com, and to get support from folks like Falksalt.
Last week, we were greeted with this package from Falksalt. A box with 9 assorted gourmet all natural sea salt jars!! Talk about blessings. Thank you Falksalt.
Falksalt produces an array of natural flavored sea salt flakes that instantly take your meals from “yum” to “ooooo lala” both in appearance and in taste. The flavors are memorable, the appearance is bold and statement making, the texture is just fabulous. I like the crisp of the salt flakes, and subsequent delicious melt…. Yum!
I used the black salt to make today’s caramel salted chicken.
Starting out with Ina Garten’s easy peazy caramel sauce which i made using my trusty “couture” REO airwhisk ( Lol the air whisk is truly beautiful and works very well). Check out out how awesome the caramel looks.
Then the chicken was seasoned with an assortment of dried seasonings in the pantry, before it hit the hot grill.
To assemble, drizzle some warm caramel atop the grilled chicken and top with FalkSalt Black Salt and chopped pepper. I can see how the smoked salt could completely knockout this dish… in a good way of course!
Now close your eyes and imagine this creamy gorgeousness of caramel on a freshly grilled piece of chicken breast, with crispy salty notes in every bite.
Okay open your eyes now, and make this chicken for a deserving lover, or for yourself. Check out Falksalt here, and order today before you make the dish of course.
