Happy Sunday! This chicken is SPICY, simple and sexy. It adorns rice perfectly. There is not much to say except: make it and relish in its goodness.
We had it with our Sunday rice. A step away from stew sometimes does not hurt. 🙂
Spicy Harissa Chicken

Ingredients
- 2 medium sized skinless boneless chicken breasts cut into bite sizes
- 1 red bell pepper - chopped
- 1 orange bell pepper - chopped
- 1 medium sized red onion - chopped
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Harissa
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground pepper
- 3 tbsp canola oil
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 bunch scallions (chopped)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients (except scallions) in a bowl, combine well and leave to rest overnight in the fridge.
- Heat dutch oven until sizzling hot.
- Add the overnight Harissa chicken mix into the pan and spread out to cook evenly.
- Stir after about 3 minutes. The peppers and chicken should have a slight char.
- Continue to stir at 3 minute intervals.
- Chicken should be cooked through in about 10 minutes.
- Turn off heat and finish with chopped scallions.
- Enjoy with rice
