Few days ago, i got the most welcome surprise at the door. It was a package! A box of goodies from Marley Spoon! Marley Spoon sells recipe kits with ingredients and detailed recipe cards.

Now to the box…When it was first opened, the crisp clear pictures in the recipe cards were enough to make me hungry and get to the stove fast to begin cooking.

And the packaging. The two meals received were packaged separately in a  brown bag, and then the protein (shrimps) was tucked in between ice-packs at the bottom. I loved that i did not have to try to figure out which ingredients matched each recipe like i did with Blue Apron.

This particular recipe – Rice and Green Curry was simple, and easy to follow. The ingredients were familiar and fresh, very fresh actually. I loved that the shrimps were already cleaned, shelled, and deveined.

Cooking was a breeze. Time seemed to move in slow motion as i could not wait to dive in. The scent was just unbelievable. How can such simple ingredients produce such amazing and complex scents.

The rice and curry was delicious, familiar, restaurant quality, fresh, clean and real. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal.

The fact that everything in this box was gluten free really made me happy.
