Liquid Smoke is all shades of amazing.
It adds both flavor, and a lovely smell to this burger.
The burger is perfect for entertaining. Full of Iron and Vitamins. Cheap, and easy to whip up.

Ingredients
- 2 whole wheat english muffins
- 1lb ground beef
- ¼ of a medium onion (chopped)
- ½ tbsp salt
- 1tsp black pepper
- 6 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 tsp mayo
- 6 large baby spinach leaves
- 4 slices of fresh firm roma tomatoes
- ¼ cup of shredded mozarella cheese
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Add the Oil, spices, herbs, onions, meat, and smoke into a bowl.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Create 6 beef burger patties from the mix.
- Heat up a griddle.
- Place patties on the griddle to cook for about 7 minutes.
- Toast english muffins.
- Flip burgers to cook on other side for about 5 minutes, and sprinkle the water all over the patties to prevent burning.
- Sprinkle cheese generously over the patties.
- Cook for about 3 mins.
- Turn off heat.
- Assemble Burger.
To Assemble:
- Slather the mayo on each side of the toasted muffin.
- Place the spinach, tomatoes and beef patties inside each muffin.
- Serve with something crunchy like sweet potato fries.

CHOIII!!! You got me googling liquid smoke! How did you even discover it? Never heard of it until now. I wonder if it can be used to make jollof rice. Is it healthy in large quantities? Thanks for sharing this lovely home-made burget recipe. Now i really wanna try liquid smoke!
I do not know if it is healthy in large quantities, but the taste is quite strong. I wouldn’t use a lot.
