Merry Christmas to you and yours! Thank you very much for your support these past months! Oya Come Chop started out in January 2015, some of us met few months later (virtually 🙂 ), and it feels like we have know each other for quite a bit.

These past days have been exciting in our kitchen.  We started off last weekend shopping for Christmas dinner. Dinner this year will be Red Snapper, Chicken, Fried Rice, Plantain and some swallow. Still deciding between okro soup and vegetable soup.

Couple days later, we worked on christmas presents which is Chin Chin this year! This Chinchin is on Fleek! some of the recipients have testified already 🙂

Today we started prepping christmas dinner by boiling the “hard” chicken. You know that chicken broth is everything. That is the secret ingredient in good fried rice.

Then we used our new Faberware Spiraletti to make these crispy plantains that served as a bed for the delicious beans sitting pretty atop.

The recipe for the beans will be published soon.
